The diversity in colours and whimsical shapes of this mural refer to the turbulent past of the place where Wouters ‘Letman’ Wouters (NL) made the work. A chapel was built in the 15th century, it was used as a cemetery in the 16th century, a vegetable garden in the 19th century and as barracks in the 20th century.
Job Wouters (Letman) is a typedesigner. As “letter loony” he doesn’t shun traditional techniques like calligraphy. Armed with his ‘spray can-machine’ he makes unique letter art.
