This mural is an updated version of a still life painting. Jukka Hakanen took inspiration from surrounding restaurants, the building’s history and the famous mulberry tree that grows nearby (planted in 1780), which can be seen from the garden of the Ocrum house, now known as cultural centre ‘Nieuwe Veste’.
Since a young age, drawing and painting have been natural forms of expression for Jukka Hakanen (FI). Growing up in Turku he developed his interest in graffiti. Since 2000 he’s made many murals in Finland and abroad.
