Many other areas of Breda are covered in green, but the Tuinzigt neighbourhood lacks some serious urban nature. This mural brings nature to Tuinzigt, with butterflies species that are nearly extinct in the Netherlands. Nearby neighbourhood Westerpark consists of streetnames named after a mix of butterflies species, which is a funny coincidence.
With his gigantic 3D murals, Mantra (FR) transforms multi-story buildings into specimen boxes containing hyper-realistic butterflies. Shadows and subtle details create depth, and give the illusion of a transparent glass surface. Mantra’s amazing murals previously appeared in France, Spain, Germany, Austria and several large cities all over the world.
