Sint Elisabethsvloed

The mural shows the ‘Haagse dike’ that could be found on outskirts of the former municipality of Princenhage. The dike was of great importance to the village and saved it from the Saint Elisabeth flood in 1421.

Annexed 75 years ago

In 2017 the foundation ‘Princenhage – Village in Breda’ remembers the fact that Princenhage was annexed by the city of Breda 75 years ago. It was clear that local artist Frans van Veen was the right choice to paint a mural to be reminded of this anniversary.
