On Thursday 2 and Friday 3 April, the mural by artist Johan Moorman<\/a> at the Molsparking was restored. The artwork, which was created in 2015, received a careful refresh so that it can once again be appreciated in the public space.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, students from OLV Breda took part in parts of the process, under the guidance of Blind Walls Gallery and Moorman himself. The students were given a tour of several murals, with attention paid to the background of the works, the creative process and the importance of proper maintenance. They were then introduced to mural painting and retouching themselves, giving them insight into the craftsmanship involved in working on a large scale.<\/p>\n

Retouching murals remains essential for the preservation of urban art. Due to the effects of weather, time and the surrounding environment, colors can fade and details can be lost. Periodic maintenance helps ensure the quality and appearance of such artworks, keeping them visible and accessible to a wide audience.<\/p>\n

Through restorations like this, the city continues to invest in a well-maintained public space in which art plays a lasting and connecting role.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
