Javier de Riba

Starting Friday, June 16, we present a new exhibition in our Gallery. This time by visual artist Javier de Riba (also part of the duo Reskate). With his interventions in public space, Javier tries to question the value of objects and spaces.

One of his best-known projects is “Floors,” in which he uses – mostly abandoned – floors as his canvas. Instead of laying a carpet or replacing the emptiness with tiled mosaics, the Catalan artist uses spray paint and stencils to give precipitated concrete a new life.

This exhibition consists of 12 prints and several picnic rugs. All works are inspired by floor designs Javier has previously created.
