Blind Walls Film Fest returns on 5 to 9 February 2025 at Chassé Cinema! The third edition of this unique film festival surprises, inspires and introduces audiences to the world behind graffiti, street art and murals.
Globally, more and more murals are being created. Also online, it is impossible to ignore street art. Film and photography play a major role in the career development of graffiti writers, street artists and muralists. Besides the quick images via social media, a growing number of (documentary) filmmakers are capturing the world behind the walls, the makers and their social impact. Blind Walls Film Fest is unique of its kind and the only film festival worldwide related to these subjects. With screenings of various films, Q&As with makers, talks by experts and an educational programme, we take the audience into the world behind graffiti, street art and murals.
Open call
Last year, the first BWFF awards were presented for Best Feature, Best Short and Audience Award. These awards serve as an honourable reward, but also to encourage filmmakers to continue capturing street art.
During this edition, there is again an opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their own work. Filmmakers who are selected get the chance to show their work to a large audience. A cash prize is also available for the winners. Filmmakers have until 31 December 2024 to submit their film via FilmFreeway.
Blind Walls Film Fest 2025 is a collaboration with Chassé Cinema and Poppodium Mezz and is supported by Gemeente Breda and Chassé Cultuurfonds.
