Specifically for this exhibition, Rob van Dijck is creating his first large solo mural. For over 30 years, he consistently collaborated with his brother Barry on graffiti pieces and later on murals under the names Staynice or Pogo.

Recently, Rob began making intuitive geometric compositions with spray paint on A3-sized paper. These works have an architectural feel and evoke details of buildings, complex structures, towers, and gates.

Rob is a prominent figure in the local graffiti scene and turned his hobby into his profession as a designer. Early in his career, he began creating (temporary) commissioned murals. Rob is a pioneer who continues to develop artistically. His recent work leaves much to the viewer’s imagination and fits well with the concept of a city wall—something far more than just a defensive structure.
