This mural is a tribute to the more than 70,000 volunteers who dedicate themselves to the city every year. The mural symbolizes gratitude to everyone who contributes to others, to the city, and to themselves. It serves as a visible homage to the silent forces that keep Breda vibrant and connected.

Marloes de Kiewit is self-taught and lives in Rotterdam. She creates both indoor and outdoor murals, window paintings, (digital) illustrations, paintings, and painted objects for individuals, businesses, and organizations.
Her work is a combination of refined linework and colorful, realistic compositions. She loves to immerse herself in adding countless details, always searching for the balance between movement and stillness, strength and vulnerability.
