Shopaholic zombies

Hell’O was inspired by the shoppers passing by on the Ginnekenstraat, viewed from the Bleekstraat. The pointy figures look like shopaholic zombies, that are blindly following each-other towards the shopping street. Hell’O interpreted the street name quite literally (‘Bleek’ in Bleekstraat means faded or pale), the colours of the 40-meter long mural gradually fade from bright to faded tones.

Hell’O masters graphic design like a 21st century Jherimus Bosch. Their surrealistic universe exists of mysterious animals, hybrid characters and an extraordinary architecture and geometry. The narrative scenes, sometimes meaningful and other times absurd, consist of humour and mockery and give the viewer room for interpretation.
