This mini-library is located in the Breda district ‘Drie Hoefijzers’, between Terheijdenstraat, Stationslaan, Doornboslaan and Oranjesingel. The district owes its name to the Drie Hoefijzers brewery. The buildings of the old brewery still adorn the district and each has been given a different function. In particular, the headquarters and the wedding tower are characteristic of the district.
In 2022 this district will celebrate its 100th anniversary. To celebrate, several activities will be organised, including the installation of a mini-library. People can leave their old or read books here for others. The painted library is placed in the heart of the district and aims to stimulate the pleasure of reading in a sustainable way. In addition, it creates a place where residents can come together to strengthen the community feeling in the neighbourhood.
