The typical ideas of architects Molière and Peutz were the inspiration for this mural. Molière stands for recognisable traditions, visible in the use of robust bricks. Peutz is innovative, which is visible in the use of his materials and striking light. Looking at the two architects and their values, this led to the all-encompassing maxim: ‘Innovation comes from good tradition’.

Reskate is an artistic collective formed by visual artists María López and Javier de Riba. Their collaboration began with the project Reskateboarding, giving abandoned skateboards a second life. Reskate’s workshop and studio can be found in the Sants district of Barcelona. Reskate works on various projects, including murals, illustrations, exhibitions and installations. In their murals, they present works that are connected with the space around it, representing stories and facts of the local culture. Through this, they make visible the identity of the mural’s surroundings.
