The electronic factory Electron was once part of machine factory Backer and Rueb. The original buildings were destroyed by a fire in 1958. A new property was built designed by architect M. Blokdijk. The building is nowadays a place for artists and their art studios. The building is a perfect preserved example of postwar industrial heritage.

Staynice is a graphic design studio owned by brothers Rob and Barry van Dijck. Their work is characterised by a playful combination of information, illustration and typography. Experiments on their own RISO printer often serve as inspiration for commercial projects for international clients. Yet they remain true to their roots and regularly pick up spray cans for murals.
