Zenk One

The Blushuis is the centre of creativity and technology in Breda, along with seven other buildings on the Triple O Campus. From graphic designer to architect, from appbuilder to filmmaker, all sorts of entrepreneurs have offices here.

This mural, named ‘De Brandwacht’ (the fire brigade), is an homage to Breda’s fire department, and at the same time a reference to the now. The fire department was situated in this building for many years. The mural is situated in VONK, the living room of the Triple O Campus, which used to be the space where the fire brigade would dispatch and where many firetrucks were lined up.

Despite the developments, the history of the place is still very visible. Various fire brigade elements, old photos and the colour red play a big part in the interior. The mural by Zenk One is the icing on the cake.
